Ask Miya where she’s from, and you’ll get a story, not a one-word answer. She was born in Paris where her parents meet at Université Paris-Sud one of the most prestigious universities in France. Later the freshly new family moved to Uruguay (where her father is from ) and where they stayed 3 years, short after they moved to Venezuela where she grew up and studied Graphic Design, learn to surf and meet her first husband, the green-eyed surfer who came along and took her to the Texas Coast, where she became a competitor surfer winning several awards including winning the 2012 Texas Surf Championship.

 

Now a soul surfer, artist and digital nomad working on her company that she created in 2008 Active Media Pro . Miya’s current life involves quite a lot of travel and adventure with her hubby, Ian.

 

She came to Playa Grande in 2013 looking for happiness. She found it! The warm welcoming vibe, natural serene beaches, and the warm world-class waves easily upped her happiness level. It didn’t take long! Miya studied graphic design, she designed our logo and is responsible for building this whole beautiful website. But her real gifts are her sweet smile, positive attitude, and easy laugh. With Miya in the room, you’re sure to have a good time!
